The herdsmen of Klasterhaus were a group of traders and cowboys native to the Great Prairie of Klasterhaus. They were associates of Faction Paradox in the War in Heaven. Being plant-based lifeforms, they secreted spores which made people susceptible to persuasion.

As part of Starch's initiation competition, Heed took Fleece, Penelope, Ceol, and Dominic to Klasterhaus to negotiate with the herdsmen. The herdsmen manipulated Fleece into buying a "Chronofugal War-Cow". (PROSE: Now or Thereabouts)
