Nina was a girl who lived in Colchester. As the Eleventh Doctor mentioned to Craig Owens, she entered Britain's Got Talent but was kicked off after allegations that she had poisoned a fellow contestant.

Her rivalry with fellow contestant Josie-D was front page news on the Colchester Evening News on 19 April 2011.

Rivalry with Josie-D[[edit] | [edit source]]

The paper reported that the pair of rival singers didn't believe there was room for both of them in the show. What began as mild mannered backstage sniping soon turned into something much more serious.

Nina accused Josie-D of buying similar clothes, leading to the girls wearing strikingly similar outfits in the early stages of the competition. In the final stages, rumours were rife of Nina's drug habit. Her rivalry with Josie escalated when Josie-D developed a throat infection. Nina claimed Josie wasn't ill at all and was simply trying to excuse a poor performance, and in return Josie had tampered with her medication before that Saturday's show, adding household bleach to the throat spray.

Nina was devastated by the accusations but tests revealed the spray had indeed been tampered with. Unable to prove that she wasn't responsible, the producers of Britain's Got Talent decided that enough was enough and Nina would have to leave. The paper reported that the allegations were subject to a police investigation. (TV: Closing Time)
