David Savile appeared in several Doctor Who stories: as Lieutenant Jeremy Carstairs in The War Games, Winser in The Claws of Axos and Colonel Charles Crichton in The Five Doctors.
Savile's long career began in a 1965 episode of Out of the Unknown, after which he appeared on UFO, Softly, Softly: Taskforce, Bergerac, Howards' Way and The Bill. He had recurring roles as Lt. Cmdr. Beaumont on Warship, Charles Banks on Gems and Max Barker on Kinsey.
