Menkaure was the pharaoh of Egypt around the 26th century B.C. An attempted assassination on him by one of Itennu's men was stopped by the Doctor's cane. Right afterwords, a fight commenced between Menkaure's men and Itennu's. In a later incarnation, the Doctor still never found out what truly happened to Menkaure. (IDW: The Forgotten)
