Dephresis was a sentient weapons construct made by House Arpexia during the War in Heaven. He resembled an angel. Dephresis liked to use his tongue to taste space-time.
Dephresis, Anhedra, and Jarks were sent to Tagonique to make Mesquividas, the last Tagoniqui rationalist, accept magic. Upon success, they used power granted by the observer effect to draw out the population's total belief in magic and reverse the anchoring of the thread around Tagonique, dooming the planet to be erased from the Spiral Politic.
