Proto 1 was the first test spaceship designed by the Daleks in their spaceflight efforts after gaining the knowledge from the Krattorians. It was destroyed on take-off.
Other known members of this series of spacecraft were Proto 4, Proto 9 and Proto 13. (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge)
