Ed Hime wrote the Doctor Who television story It Takes You Away.
Outside of Doctor Who, Hime is primarily a playwright, and a writer of BBC Radio dramas.
In 2007, he won a Prix Italia award for Best Original Radio Drama for his radio play, The Incomplete Recorded Works of a Dead Body.
