Miss Hardaker was the guardian of Phyllis and Jean after they had been evacuated to Maiden's Point.
In 1943, she refused to give the girls permission to swim with Ace at Maiden's Bay, saying it was dangerous, but they went anyway. After they had been turned into Haemovores by Fenric, Phyllis and Jean returned to Miss Hardaker's house and killed her. (TV: The Curse of Fenric)
