A villager lived in a village where a Terileptil escape pod crashed in 1666. He was the leader of the group of villagers that captured the Fifth Doctor and Richard Mace inside the Miller's barn. They were about to execute them as plague carries when they were stopped by the Headman, who ordered them locked in the harness room.

Later, when the Doctor removed the Headman's control bracelet, the Headman told the villager that there was a voice in his head telling him what to do, causing him and the other villagers to think the Doctor and Mace were warlocks too. The villagers then began to make a fire to burn them in but were scared off when the Terileptil android, disguised as the Grim Reaper, entered the barn. (TV: The Visitation)
