Kirsty Lane was a waitress at the El Puerto restaurant in Penarth. After completing her shift one evening, she stumbled across one of Torchwood Three's investigations.
Following a busy night at the restaurant, Kirsty and her best friend, Sophie Gould, were leaving for a night out in town when their manager, Terry, told them that police had cordoned off Penarth Marina.
The pair gathered among a sizable crowd at the marina, where a police cordon was in place. They watched as an SUV pulled up, of which an American man and his companion got out and entered the crime scene.
She had an outgoing and extremely flirtatious personality. She was nosy, and loved any kind of drama. There was no stopping her when she had her mind set on something. She was blind to the fact that her manager, Terry, had a crush on her.
Kirsty was tiny and raven-haired, with big brown eyes. To go clubbing, she wore heels and a sequined shoulder bag. (PROSE: Bay of the Dead)
