Mark Grantham was the Human manager of Combat 3000, a laser tag game. He was secretly in league with Uvlavad Kudlak, who was using Combat 3000 to recruit new soldiers for his war. As Sarah Jane and Maria Jackson began to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Maria's schoolmate, Lance Metcalf, they had two unpleasant encounters with Grantham, who displayed a willingness to kill them.
