Explosive decompression was the rapid loss of atmosphere.
When they were transmatted from Earth to the Moon's surface by the Genesis of Cthalctose, Bill Raelsen, Terry Sehna and Ellie Noble died from explosive decompression. Only Bernice Summerfield and Imrud Tammuz survived. (PROSE: Eternity Weeps)
