An assembly editor is mostly involved in the first assembly. Their job involves assembling scripts and preparing sequences for the editor(s), mostly by marking up sequences, splitting them up and labelling them, and by syncing, grouping and track-laying where necessary. They may also edit some sequences themselves, or assist the editors or producers in other ways.
As of 2019[update], the only credited assembly editor in a DWU production is Katrina Aust, who performed this job for The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot.
