Duncan Lamont (17 June 1918-19 December 1978[1]) played Dan Galloway in the Doctor Who television story Death to the Daleks.
He regularly played Station Sergeant Cooper on Dixon of Dock Green, but is best known for playing infected astronaut Victor Carroon in The Quatermass Experiment. He also played Sladden in the Hammer film version of Quatermass and the Pit; Richard Shaw played the role in the original TV serial.
He died during filming of the Blake's 7 episode "Hostage"; actor John Abineri (who also appeared in Death to the Daleks) replaced him.
