The Steward managed Platform One 5 billion years in the future, where some rich aliens were invited to witness Earth's death. When the Doctor and Rose Tyler came to Platform One, he complained at them, due to them not being invited to the End of the Earth display, but he was tricked by the Doctor's phycic paper, and he allowed them in. The introduced the guest into Platform One, and made announcments around the Platform via intercom. The Steward was killed by one of Lady Cassandra's metal spiders when it released the sun filter that burnt him. (DW: The End of the World)
