Stuart was, in one timeline, a terrorist who rescued the Seventh Doctor and Melanie Bush on Puxatornee in 3090. He threatened them and got them to take himself and Reed back in time to assassinate Bailey. In another timeline, he was one of the highest officers in the world, and travelled back in time to prevent Bailey's death. Both versions of Stuart were shot and killed in each other's timelines, with neither realising that their attempts to change history had trapped Puxatornee in a time paradox, causing the planet to alternate between the two different timelines. (AUDIO: Flip-Flop)
