The Darksmith Legacy was a ten-book series released throughout 2009 from the BBC. It was supported by an interactive website.

The website allowed users, through quizzess, puzzles, games and other features, to unlock further information in the task of completing The Quest.

  • The Darksmith Legacy was certificated to 13, with under 13s needing parental approval.
  • Success on the various missions was rewarded by bonus features like wallpapers.
  • All the images below feature the artwork of Peter McKinstry and were downloadable from the official website on completion of the Quest.
  • The BBC magazine Doctor Who Adventures also regularly carried previews of forthcoming titles in the series and also gave a password to enter at http://www.thedarksmithlegacy.com/dwa which gave access to further wallpapers.
