Screamers were nocturnal, bat-like creatures native to Desperus. Named for their loud screeching, they frequently attacked the criminals stranded on that planet. They attacked Bors, Garge, and Kirksen (who was terrified of them) when they left their cave to investigate the landing of the Spar; Kirksen was particularly terrified of them.
