Frank William Dudman was the husband of Kathleen Dudman, the father of Audrey Dudman and the grandfather of Ace. He was a member of the Merchant Navy during the Second World War. In 1943, Kathleen received a letter saying his ship was struck by enemy torpedoes and he had been killed. (TV: The Curse of Fenric)
