A clerk worked in an office and had a wife named Daphne. He also secretly had a mistress.
Daphne suspected her husband of having an affair and hired Frobisher to investigate. He took on the form of a telephone on the clerk's desk and eavesdropped as the clerk called Daphne to tell her that he would be working late again.
