An unnamed "planet of ice" was where the First Doctor stranded Template:Butterworth, having taken his directional unit after the Monk worked with the Daleks to complete their Time Destructor. When he arrived on the planet, the Monk's TARDIS changed into a block of ice. It had a sea and several icebergs, (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan) with nothing but blocks of ice and snow-laden rocks on the barren tundra. Wind whipped across the icy wastelands, driving huge clouds of snow across the surface of the world. (PROSE: The Mutation of Time)
Having escaped the ice planet, the Monk lowered the temperature of his TARDIS to remember what being in the cold felt like so as to keep his desire for revenge fueled. He eventually trapped the Seventh Doctor on the planet, intending to leave him for dead. The Doctor was able to escape, however, using a piece of the Monk's TARDIS disguised as Danny Pain's autograph. (PROSE: No Future)
The Monk never did learn the name of the planet. (AUDIO: The Book of Kells) However, he remembered being stranded on it as one of the worst things the Doctor did to him. (AUDIO: The Secret History)
