The Roswell crash was an event in 1947 in which an alien spaceship crashed in Roswell, New Mexico.
History
In an event that the Tenth Doctor described as an "alien fender-bender", (PROSE: Peacemaker) a Nedenah ship was damaged and crashed to Earth. The humanoid aliens were later made infamous by UFO lore as "the Greys". (PROSE: The Devil Goblins from Neptune)
One account suggests that Seruba Velak's spaceship was the ship that crashed in 1947. (TV: Dreamland) Another account suggests that it was the Tzun who crashed at Roswell. (PROSE: First Frontier)
The crash became a cause celebre for decades among UFO and conspiracy theorists, due to government attempts at covering up the incident after it had been reported in the press. (TV: Dreamland)
Three survivors were taken by the American government to a secret base to be studied. The Americans who discovered the ship were able to strip it for parts, and created many new devices derived from the technology. Broadband internet was derived from a mileometer found in the crash. They were also able to reverse engineer and recreate the schematics for the ship. (TV: Dalek)
Androvax stated that the ship that the Nanoforms were building for him was a recreation of the spacecraft that had crashed in Roswell. (TV: Prisoner of the Judoon)
Sarah Jane Smith seemed to think of the crash as a minor event in the history of human-alien contact. (TV: Enemy of the Bane)
