Not to be confused with Earth hornets

I think this page should be renamed something like "Hornets (alien)" because it is about an alien race called the hornets not the hornets from Earth. Xx-connor-xX ☎ 02:41, December 29, 2016 (UTC)

I agree regarding the rename, however a better dab term would be Hornet (The Stuff of Nightmares). The only problem with that is that there are two stories with that name, so maybe Hornet (The Hornet's Nest) would be more apt, although I'm not sure of the Wiki's policy on dab terms here so the initial option may be fine, and the second against convention. Actually, if they're a species they'd be Hornet (species). Please note that the name has to be singular. If it's an individual, the name would be Hornet (name of first story appearance). 68.131.63.11^{talk to me} 04:30, May 25, 2019 (UTC)

The issue there is that both types of hornet are species, so calling them Hornet (species) isn't doing much in the way of disambiguation. Danochy ☎ 06:58, May 25, 2019 (UTC)

It's been a long time since this matter received any attention. Does anyone have anything further to contribute? A page about Earth hornets is one which might have been made had this page not been located at hornet already. Danochy ☎ 06:22, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
