Simon Kane voiced Halus in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Cortex Fire.

Outside the DWU, Kane's voice is perhaps most recognisable as a regular on John Finnemore's BBC Radio 4 sketch series John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, alongside Finnemore, Lawry Lewin and Margaret Cabourn-Smith.

He is also a comedy writer, having written for such series as That Mitchell and Webb Look and Sound, starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb.

Actor John Kane, who appeared in Planet of the Spiders, is Simon Kane's father.
