Sandra Pierce was the wife of Tommy Pierce, who had to keep his career at Torchwood One a secret from her and led her to believe that he was merely a bus mechanic. She enjoyed reading.

Eventually, Tommy decided to tell her the truth, but she did not believe him. He brought home a device that allowed the user to absorb the contents of a book instantly. Sandra enjoyed it and accepted his life at Torchwood, with Tommy believing that she was secretly happy not to be married to a bus mechanic. However, Tommy later returned home and found that she had been retconned by Torchwood.
