The Hellcats were a trio of Feline Hominids from the planet Altaria. Big Cat, Bobcat, and Wildcat flew personalized Tigerfires and had a simple brief for their missions: "Locate, engage, destroy".

The Hellcats were hired by Intra-Venus, Inc. for war games on Warworld (COMIC: Warworld) but went rogue after Intra-Venus ordered Dive Fighters to attack them. Machine Head successfully killed Bobcat but was shot down by Big Cat. (COMIC: A Cat Out of Hell) After this, Murray spoke with an Intra-Venus Co-ordinator who hired Shaman Kahn to take out the two rogue Hellcats. Kahn successfully killed Wildcat while Big Cat crashed into the sea and was rescued by a submarine. Hired by the Ambassador, Big Cat joined Machine Head, Bruce, and Cool Breeze to get revenge on Intra-Venus, Inc. (COMIC: Recruitment...)
