Notes

  • A story by veteran series writer Gareth Roberts was to be included in the anthology.[1] While BBC Books paid him for his story, Roberts released a personal statement saying that it would not be printed following complaints from fans and authors regarding his transphobic remarks on Twitter in 2017.[2] Susie Day, another author for The Target Storybook, publicly stated: "I raised my concerns, and said if he was in, I was out. I don’t share a platform with bigots."[3]
