The Eleventh Doctor offered his condolences to what appeared to be Gideon Vandaleur, to the confusion of Captain Carter, before revealing that he was well aware that the envoy was infact the Teselecta in disguise and the real Gideon had been dead for six months. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)
