A bioreading synthesizer was a component of the TARDIS that could bioread and synthesize fluids. It had at least one hollow room at the crystalline "leg". It would ascend from and descend into the floor.

It was used to bioread and synthesize the antidote to counted the effects of the bacterial pathogenic virus known as Praxeus. (TV: Praxeus)

It doubled as an ordinary table on which objects could be placed, and would as a result remain up in the meantime. Graham O'Brien used it when he assembled the six Bandohzi Herald holiday coupons into a teleport cube. (TV: Orphan 55)
