The Proxima System is the closest star system to the Sol System.
Components
- The primary star of the Proxima System is Proxima Centauri.
- The system contained a city called New Old Detroit, on a planet most likely of the same name.
- The system also contained an asteroid upon which Stormlight House was situated. (DWM: Mortal Beloved/The Deep Hereafter)
- If Proxima Centauri is anything like its real world counterpart, the star and any orbitng objects would also orbit the binary pair Alpha Centauri A and B.
History
The Doctor visited this system twice with companion Majenta Pryce. (DWM:Mortal Beloved/The Deep Hereafter)
The Grandaughter of the Tenth Doctor's Companion Adelaide Brooke, Susie Fontana Brooke, would go on to explore the system using the first human lightspeed ship. (DW: The Waters of Mars)
