Goodge was a radio telescope technician at the time of the second attempted Nestene invasion of Earth. Little is known of his life beyond his expressed regret at his wife's fondness for including boiled eggs in his packed lunch, even on the sad day of his demise.

As part of his scheme to bring the Nestenes to Earth, the Master briefly took control of the radio telescope.
