An unnamed female UNIT officer was the duty officer at a UNIT radar station when one of her technicians alerted her to a group of objects flying to Earth from space.
She initially assumed the objects to be meteors until the technician pointed out that they were flying in formation.
The officer then called in a report to UNIT HQ. (TV: Spearhead from Space)
