Wenley Moor was a moor located in Derbyshire, (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Cave-Monsters) well known for its extensive cave system. Millions of years BC, a Silurian hibernation chamber was established there to survive the predicted global catastrophe.
In the late 20th century, a nuclear power research centre was established at Wenley Moor. The experiments conducted there woke the Silurians.
