Too Many Masters was the fourth and final story in the audio anthology Missy: Series Two, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by John Dorney and featured Michelle Gomez as Missy and Rufus Hound as the Monk.

• The Ogrons have sought out the Master seeking the debt owed to them for their involvement in starting a war between the Draconians and humans. (TV: Frontier in Space)

• The Monk recalls surviving Daleks, (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan, AUDIO: To the Death) Ice Warriors (AUDIO: The Resurrection of Mars) and Weeping Angels. (AUDIO: The Side of the Angels)
  • The reference to Ice Warriors confirms the Rufus Hound incarnation of the Monk is later in his timeline than the Graeme Garden incarnation. When the Eighth Doctor confronted the Monk over his past actions, the Monk claimed ignorance and implied he might be an earlier version (AUDIO: The Side of the Angels).
