Ajax Camp was a gold-mining town in California in the 19th century. The gold was mined at nearby Ajax Creek.
Located in Ajax Camp was the Ajax Saloon, owned by Job Clemens. The Sixth Doctor visited Ajax Camp and freed the miners from alien possession. (PROSE: Whiskey and Water)
