Character Options Sarah Jane Adventures 5" action figures were manufactured in connection with only the first series of the programme.
The range was distinct from the Doctor Who action figures, not only in branding, but in format. Each box came with an action figure of Sarah Jane Smith and an alien or enemy she had encountered.
Although the Sarah Jane Smith action figures were all different, the series never got around to making action figures for any other continuing character; there were never figures of Maria Jackson, Alan Jackson, Clyde Langer, Luke Smith or Rani Chandra.
Sarah Jane Smith wore all the outfits of the action figures in the given episodes (see below), but she did not wear the white jacket and the pink shirt in Warriors of Kudlak; in that episode, she wore a brown jacket and a blue pullover. The Sarah Jane figure that came along with the Graske wore the same outfit as Sarah Jane Smith in the episode The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith and in the Doctor Who episodes The Stolen Earth and The End of Time.
