Sneaking Angels were one of the species Steven Moffat was considering introducing to Doctor Who in his efforts to match his previous successes, alongside Peeking Angels. Post-it notes bearing their names were present on a wall of his underground writing lair below 221B Baker Street when Christel Dee broke in to steal the scripts to Series 9.
