The Copper Kettle was a café in Cambridge, near King's College. In the 1960s, Jean Baisemore and Liz Shaw would sit at the window and bitch about tourists sitting on the walls at King's Parade.
In the early 1970s, Jean and Liz arranged to meet at the Copper Kettle for lunch. However, Jean was fitted with a Cybermat at Trumpington Street Surgery and was drawn to a Cyber-ship where she was converted into a Cyberman. Liz waited for some time at the café before leaving.
