Richard Wilson OBE (born 9 July 1936[1]) played Dr Constantine in the Doctor Who stories The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances.

Wilson is best known for his role as the always grumpy Victor Meldrew in the show One Foot in the Grave (opposite Annette Crosbie). He played Gaius in all five series of the BBC fantasy programme Merlin, which debuted in 2008 in the UK and 2009 in the US.
