Cupid was a mythical figure said to be the son of Venus, who was depicted as being a winged humanoid who spread love and romance with his bow and arrows.
On St Valentine's Day 2013, an Ameteli appeared on Earth posing as Cupid, in a plot to distract the humans with the gift of love so that he could plunder the planet of its resources. His plot was foiled by the Eleventh Doctor and Decky Flamboon. (COMIC: Love is in the Air)
