Matteusz's mother was deeply religious, and almost accepted Matteusz Andrzejewski as gay. She had arguments with Matteusz's father about it, but he was too stubborn about Matteusz's sexuality. Her husband's bad temperament was only made worse once he discovered that Matteusz wanted a boyfriend, and in the end, he threw Matteusz out of their house in October 2016.
