The Dalek invasion of Ercos was an attack on the peaceful planet Ercos by the forces of the Dalek Empire, as part of a revenge plot against Earth. It was considered such an atrocity that the Time Lords ordered the Fourth Doctor to interfere and defend the Klims. (COMIC: The Dalek Revenge)
History
Background
After their failed attempts to conquer and destroy Earth, (TV: The Dalek Invasion of Earth, Day of the Daleks; AUDIO: Masters of Earth, Lucie Miller/To the Death) the Daleks required a planet with just the right proximity that can act as a a missile, and chose the peaceful planet of Ercos. (COMIC: The Dalek Revenge)
Invasion
The Daleks, led by the Dalek Commander staged an occupation of Ercos, with the intention of mining its core. The native Klims initially resisted this occupation, but after their leader, Garu, was exterminated they had no choice but to submit.
This attracted the attention of the Time Lords, who sent the Fourth Doctor to stop the Daleks once again. (COMIC: The Dalek Revenge)
Occupation
The surviving Klims were rounded up and forced to work in labour camps.
As the Doctor and his companion, Sarah Jane Smith, arrived, the Daleks rounded up the remaining Klim rebels using the Dalek Collection Vehicle for public execution, hunting down the son of Garu, Ticon.
A squad of Dalek drones uncovered the Doctor's TARDIS, and were promptly executed by the Dalek Commander for not also capturing the Doctor; as a double bluff they released a comrade of Ticon, Luco, who led the Doctor, Sarah, and Ticon into a trap. (COMIC: The Dalek Revenge)
