Open All Hours was the episode of Doctor Who Confidential broadcast in conjunction with Closing Time. It featured a scene where Matt Smith and James Corden amused themselves during a filming break at night. The two pretended to be the Doctor and Craig Owens in front of a video camera with a toy Dalek action figure while humming the Doctor Who theme tune... and laughably tone deaf.

Aspects of production covered

Danny Hargreaves and Crispin Layfield explained the process of creating the stunt in which the Doctor jumps through a pane of glass.

Additional topics covered

  • A Day In The Life: Location Manager.
  • Script To Screen filming.
