Flidor was one of Skaro's two naturally occurring Moons, (PROSE: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) accessible to the early Daleks on Skaro; it was Flidor gold which was used to construct the casing of the Dalek Emperor. (COMIC: Genesis of Evil)
Behind the scenes
- Before the nod to them in Genesis of Evil, Flidor and its gold were first mentioned in The Dalek Dictionary, one of the features in The Dalek Book. It clarifies that Flidor is a moon of the planet Skaro, a dead world rich in blue-veined gold; Yarveling (later the designer of the first mark of Dalek casing) is stated to have been the first of his people to travel beyond Skaro and bring back gold from Flidor.
