:In ''[[Greeks Bearing Gifts]]'', Mary demonstrates that she knows who Toshiko is by rattling off some information about her, including that she was born in 1975 in London, her parents moved to Japan when she was two, then they moved back in 1986. She also talks about Tosh's grandfather. Now, Toshiko doesn't seem to confirm or deny any of the information, so perhaps Mary got some of it wrong. Or alternatively, perhaps Toshiko doctored up her own personnel file (being as she was he computer whiz) and gave herself a false birthdate to seem six years younger. She wouldn't be the first person to lie about her age for vanity or some other reason. But simply put, yes, there are two conflicting birth years given for Toshiko during the series. Tosh's birthdate
