History
In 1966, the Daleks, after intervening in the 1966 World Cup Final, attacked the Golden Gate Bridge during their invasion of Earth. A family of four time tourists were present for the event and posted their image to tel•e•pixXx. (COMIC: Liberation of the Daleks)
On 14 February 1968, it was reported by the San Francisco Chronicle that a circular symbol with an "R" in it — the symbol of the Revolution Man — appeared on both towers of the bridge. (PROSE: Revolution Man)
