Material Properties was a game published on The Sarah Jane Adventures website. It was part of the KS2 Bitesize Science project, where children learned math, English and science by playing video games. The game was narrated by Daniel Anthony. As a reward for finishing the game the children got a heroes collage wallpaper.

Scenario

A Judoon prison ship has crash-landed on Earth. Androvax has escaped and tries to rebuild a spacecraft, by using the plans of an old Roswell spacecraft. He wants to return to his own planet and destroy Earth on the way. He can only be stopped if he is tricked to use the wrong materials for his spacecraft.

Clyde has to choose the wrong materials for the space ship plan, so that Androvax's spacecraft explodes and can not be used any more.

End of the game

Androvax was tricked into using the wrong materials for the space ship. The space ship explodes and Androvax is captured by the Judoon.

How to play

At first the player has to find out the best materials for building the space ship. So he tests out the properties the materials by dragging tools onto the materials. Then Clyde says something about the materials, forexample that they are pretty hard or are water proof. After this the player has to select the wrong materials and add them to the space ship plan which Androvax is going to use. There isn't a game over in the game. If the player chooses the right material a message appeares that the player has to choose the wrong materials and has to start again. The player can repeat his last action again and again until he finally succeeds. Only then the game ends. Only the pc mouse is needed for this game to drag and drop tools and materials.

Continuity

• The game is similar the episode Prisoner of the Judoon. However, in the game, Clyde Langer adds the wrong materials into the space ship plan. Androvax builds the wrong ship, it explodes and he gets captured by the Judoon. In the episode, Androvax built the right ship and got captured by the Judoon, who used Androvax's space ship to fly away.
