- While in the 21st century this joke might be interpreted as a reference to transgender, it is doubtful that neither the writer of this piece (a fan of the magazine who mailed in the joke) nor the artist (who selected the jokes to illustrate) meant for the punchline to be anything beyond the fact that the last two syllables of transistors sound like sisters.
- This comic is somewhat similar to several of the back-up comic strips printed throughout Four Doctors, such as COMIC: Open Mic Night and The Doctors Do... Classic Comedy.
