Alyx Pol-13 was a mining colony invaded by the Daleks.
History
After it was colonised, the Intergalactic Mining Corporation set up snowbases on the planet to drill into its molten-ice core. In June 2614, the Daleks invaded the planet and began planet clearance, starting with the destruction of Snowbase Beta. The colonists were unable to fight back. However, Captain Jacobean Cahill of Snowbase Alpha ordered the Plasma Ice-Drills and Digger-Buggies to be powered up for war. Waves of Daleks swept out of the blizzard, firing. Due to the intensity of the battle, most of the crew couldn't make it to the emergency transmat station and were wiped out within the hour, leaving Jacobean the only survivor. The Daleks then turned the planet into a giant deep-freeze unit, in which they stored millions of captured aliens, frozen until the Daleks employed them in the Great War of the Rim Empires.
