This topic might have a better name.
Newman (The Eleventh Doctor) or Sydney Newman (The Eleventh Doctor)/Sydney Newman (Stop, Thief!) with a {{conjecture}} tag? See discussion at Talk:The Doctor: His Lives and Times.
Talk about it here.
- You may be looking for his real world counterpart.
Mr Newman was a friend of Winston Churchill.
At some point just before 26 March 1963, Newman got a job at the BBC. Churchill contacted him to suggest a new drama about the Doctor. (PROSE: Stop, Thief!)
Behind the scenes
Newman is clearly intended to be Sydney Newman, the creator of Doctor Who.
